Lorne Point - March 09'

A few months back we managed to get a swell that threw Lorne Point into action. At one stage if I recall correctly (and no Mark Convery this is no exaggeration) there were 80 crew in the water from the back section of the point through to the beachie......hectic to say the least.

I think later that afternoon someone was punched in the water....???

Rip Curl Pro 2009

A couple of lineups from the Rip Curl Pro earlier this week.

This year's event poster features an image I shot back in 2004, on Kodak T-MAX, 400 ISO. Got to love VIcco and it's 'dark and scary' winter lineups...

Winki through to Bell's.

Easter Long Weekend

Headed down to Joey for the weekend with Dan, Convery, Beau and Cyn. Braved what Daniel claims to have been 'sub-zero' temperatures, much to everyone elses dispute.

Highlights included:

- Eating a pack of thawed frankfurts that were left out overnight, the following morning.
- Sitting on the toilet for a period of about a good hour, commencing shortly after the previous event.
- Awakening to a solid 5ft++ swell, with heaps of water moving round and few rideable banks.
- Finishing off the last beer just prior to departure at 6:47am.
- Watching six guys paddle out over a one-hour period in a desperate attempt, consequently giving in to the oceans wrath and heading shorewards. Not to mention, no waves under their belts.
- Having an "L-Plater" drive most of the way, convinced I was going to die for most of the three-hour trip.
- Having a 1-metre lemon tree tag along in the car for a ride, destined for a housewarming party pressie the following night.

Thursday 16 April

Work was nice enough to give me the day off given the anticipated swell...

Headed down the coast with Toddy Rosewall and Shyama Buttonshaw to score some decent waves at an empty reef.
