Headed down to Joey for the weekend with Dan, Convery, Beau and Cyn. Braved what Daniel claims to have been 'sub-zero' temperatures, much to everyone elses dispute.
Highlights included:
- Eating a pack of thawed frankfurts that were left out overnight, the following morning.
- Sitting on the toilet for a period of about a good hour, commencing shortly after the previous event.
- Awakening to a solid 5ft++ swell, with heaps of water moving round and few rideable banks.
- Finishing off the last beer just prior to departure at 6:47am.
- Watching six guys paddle out over a one-hour period in a desperate attempt, consequently giving in to the oceans wrath and heading shorewards. Not to mention, no waves under their belts.
- Having an "L-Plater" drive most of the way, convinced I was going to die for most of the three-hour trip.
- Having a 1-metre lemon tree tag along in the car for a ride, destined for a housewarming party pressie the following night.
